Lawrence Bender, Hollywood Film Producer: “My favorite memory is either–well, it was two things. One was performing here. When I came to get my degree in civil engineering, the idea of being on a stage and performing in front of people would never in a million years have occurred to me. And to get up and perform, I mean that would have–I don’t think that was in my blood at all, but it must’ve been because it turned out to be the thing I was most passionate about. So, just being here and dancing was–it’s hard to describe. You know as an artist if you play the violin, the violin is your instrument.  If you’re a painter–it’s your brush and your canvas But as a dancer, your body is your instrument. So, there’s a certain feeling when you’re a dancer because that’s very unique to perform because you are the instrument of expression.”
